Arctic Transect 2004
An Educational Exploration of Nunavut.
Setting out to document arctic climate change we traveled approximately 5,000 km over 5 months by dogsled from Yellowknife, NWT to Pond Inlet, Nunavut.
We met with Inuit Elders and students, explored traditional ecological knowledge in the communities visited along the trail while gathering scientific data daily from the field for NASA and Environment Canada.
We also had an extensive website that attracted millions of online learners during the expedition and won us the Yahoo site of the week award.
